3M Sponsored Studio Project

This project was a collaboration between the College for Creative Studies and 3M Company. The challenge was to design a commercial space that explored the future of materials. Our team created the Detroit Visitor Center, a high-tech information center located at Campus Martius. Conscious of health and sustainability trends, the key materials actively reduced the spread of bacteria and have a low carbon impact on the environment. The 3M film-treated windows create an inviting openness flush with colors inspired by city statues with the goal to build community for visitors and residents.
